Rapid Support Forces Loot and Abduct SPLM Leaders in Kauda

Field sources revealed an abduction and robbery targeting senior health officials in areas controlled by the SPLM-N (Abdel Aziz al-Hilu faction) in the Nuba Mountains. A Rapid Support Forces militia ambushed Dr. Al-Amin Osman Falati, the movement’s National Health Secretary and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in its controlled areas. The incident occurred on the road between Kabo and Heiban, where the doctor, his bodyguard, and his driver were abducted at gunpoint.

Reports indicate that the attackers seized large quantities of medicine intended for hospitals, along with $85,000 in cash meant for medical staff salaries in the region, and three Kalashnikov rifles.

In a related development, the Kalk Youth (Katala) issued a strongly worded statement condemning the grave violations against the Atoro ethnic group. They held the SPLM-N responsible for the deteriorating humanitarian situation and called for respect for tribal land ownership and an end to the political conflicts that are tearing apart the social fabric of the Nuba Mountains.
