SFPA Launches WISH 2 Mobile Clinic Program in River Nile State

Sudan Family Planning Association (SFPA), River Nile branch, announced the launch of its mobile clinic program in the Al-Nahda public housing area in Atbara, which includes a center for displaced persons.

Ms. Kawthar Mohamed Ibrahim, the Association’s executive director, said in a press statement that this step comes within the framework of the association’s implementation of the WISH 2 project.

The program aims to enhance health services, raise awareness of reproductive health and psychological support, in addition to providing comprehensive treatment and preventative services.

Kawthar stated that the mobile clinic, operated by the association, provides general practitioner, pharmacy, nursing, psychological support, nutrition, and childhood immunization services. She added that the clinic also includes teams of young people and community leaders who mobilize to provide necessary health awareness and guidance within local communities.

The Association’s executive director emphasized the importance of conducting laboratory testing for viruses to support the state’s efforts in combating epidemics.

Kawthar expressed her gratitude and appreciation to all partners and entities that contributed to the funding, implementation, and success of the project, especially the British Development Agency, the association’s leadership, and relevant state authorities.
