Foreign Minister Holds Bilateral Talks with His Hungarian Counterpart

Today in Budapest, the Hungarian capital, bilateral talks were held between Sudanese Foreign Minister Mohi El-Din Salem and his Hungarian counterpart, Péter Szijjártó. The Sudanese minister briefed his Hungarian counterpart on the latest developments in Sudan and the efforts being made to contain and end the terrorist militia’s rebellion.

The meeting addressed Sudan’s position on peace initiatives and discussed the trajectory of bilateral relations and prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries.

The Hungarian side expressed its readiness to support Sudan in the areas of health, education, water treatment, and railway rehabilitation, and welcomed cooperation in preventing illegal immigration and combating terrorism.

Both sides emphasized the need for continued joint coordination at all levels to ensure the implementation and development of bilateral agreements and to explore new avenues for investment.
