The governor of West Darfur State, Bahr Eddin Adam Karama, confirmed that the city of El Fasher withstood one of the fiercest battles since the outbreak of the war, praising the bravery of the armed forces and the joint forces of the armed struggle movements, which confronted a large-scale attack launched by the rebel forces with hundreds of vehicles and mercenaries.

In a statement to The Citizen, the governor explained that the legitimate forces turned El Fasher into a “militia graveyard” after the attackers suffered heavy losses in lives and equipment, leaving behind burnt vehicles as evidence of the failure of their attempt.

He pointed out that the battle of El Fasher represents a clear message to the world that Sudan and its army are invincible, and that victory will be the ally of the regular forces until the restoration of the entire national territory.
