Federal Minister of Health: We are working to improve emergency care in all states of Sudan

The Federal Ministry of Health, through the Emergency Care and Ambulance Agency , in cooperation with Save the Children , concluded a series of training workshops in Port Sudan, Red Sea State, from 16 to 27 February 2025. These workshops targeted 27 participants from different states (Red Sea, Gedarif, Khartoum, River Nile, Northern), and included specialists, deputies, public and interns, and aimed to train trainers to ensure the sustainability of emergency care services in the states.

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, stressed the importance of effective partnership between all service providers, noting that the Agency organized many training workshops and operations to equip hospitals to deal with mass injuries and emergency cases. He added that the ministry seeks to improve emergency care in all states of Sudan at all levels, stressing that the establishment of the National Agency for Emergency Care has gone through many stages and overcome challenges until it has become a tangible reality.

For his part, the Director of the Emergency Care and Ambulance Agency , Dr. Mohieddin Hassan, stressed the importance of these workshops in enhancing the stability of emergency services in the states and increasing national trainers, expressing his thanks to the Child Care Organization for its continuous support to the ministry.
