Acting Health Minister of Khartoum directs preparing comprehensive report on the extent of the destruction caused by the militia to the hospital

A meeting between Dr. Fath Al-Rahman Muhammad Al-Amin, the Director General of the Ministry of Health of Khartoum State, the acting Minister, with the Director General of Ahmed Qasim Hospital, Dr. Hoda Hamid, and the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Heba Abdel Aal, in the presence of the hospital’s advisors and administrative directors, and the Medical Engineering Officer at the Ministry of Health, Adam Ibrahim Abdel Salam, revealed the destruction and damage of a (Qama Camera) device for heart patients that works to photograph veins and arteries, worth more than one million US dollars, at the hands of members of the rebel militia.
The Director General of Ahmed Qasim Hospital informed the acting Minister in detail of the systematic destruction followed by the militia in destroying the electricity and oxygen stations, destroying all their cables, and seizing transformers and cables after extracting them from the ground, in addition to looting all medical devices and equipment.
Dr. Fath Al-Rahman directed the Director General of the hospital to prepare a comprehensive report that addresses all the operational challenges that were facing the hospital before the outbreak of the war, and the extent of the destruction and the standard cost of what the rebel militia destroyed in Ahmed Qasim Hospital, which provided medical and therapeutic services to hundreds of heart, kidney and children’s patients in Khartoum State and those coming from other states, were determined, before the Minister in charge announced during the meeting the commitment of a number of supporting parties to rehabilitate the hospital in preparation for its operation during the coming short period.
