Jaber confirms his keenness to address the challenges facing Gadarif farmers

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, stressed his keenness to address the challenges facing Gadarif farmers regarding financing and opening bank accounts, especially with regard to the following controls for using temporary workers from outside the country, which requires coordination with the Ministry of Interior to put in place appropriate procedures.

His Excellency also directed, during his meeting with the Gadarif Farmers Union, commercial and specialized banks to increase the number of their branches and facilitate account opening procedures to include all sectors of farmers in Gadarif State.

For his part, the Chairman of the Gadarif Farmers Union, Karam Allah Abbas Al-Sheikh, indicated in a press statement that the meeting with the Sovereignty Council member comes within the framework of presenting the Farmers Union’s vision to the various state agencies to discuss urgent and possible solutions to overcome the dilemmas related to the harvest of the current agricultural season and the future of the agricultural process in the state.

Karam Allah added that the success of the agricultural season harvest process requires concerted efforts between farmers, the state government and the central government to the extent that contributes to the stability of farmers and the successful completion of all stages of the agricultural process, especially since this year’s harvest promises abundant production.
