Jaber meets the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber met yesterday in his office with the Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ramtane Lamamra, and his accompanying delegation in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The member of the Sovereignty Council praised the personal interest of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in the developments taking place in Sudan, expressing the Sudanese government’s aspiration for the United Nations to play a greater role in addressing the repercussions of the current crisis.
For his part, Envoy Ramtane Lamamra confirmed that the United Nations will take greater steps to support efforts to resolve the Sudanese crisis, expressing his thanks to the member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council for the warm reception.
