The National Medical Supply Fund held its annual meeting under the chairmanship of the Director General, Dr. Badr Al-Din Al-Jazouli, in the presence of the Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, the Secretary-General of Drugs and Poisons, Dr. Ali Babiker, the representative of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Mr. Najat Muhammad Al-Hassan, and a number of ministry leaders.

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, said in a press statement that medical supplies were affected by the war due to violations by the Janjaweed Rapid Support militias, describing the Fund as the artery of the health system, proud of the Fund’s performance during the war period, revealing the transfer of more than 27 thousand tons of medicines to all states of Sudan, funded by the Ministry of Finance in the amount of 74 billion.

He referred to the discussion of the position of the distribution of drug supply to the states and the obstacles facing the Fund, adding that the strategic stock at the level of branches in the states helped solve the pharmaceutical crisis at the beginning of the war. Stressing overcoming all difficulties facing medical supplies.
