Minister of Minerals Visits Ariab Mining Company, Unveils New Vision Centered on “People First”

Minister of Minerals, Nour Al-Daem Taha, began a field visit today to the Ariab area in the Red Sea State to inspect production sites at Ariab Mining Company, one of the ministry’s most important affiliated companies. The visit aims to assess the current operational status and lay the foundation for a new phase that will restore the company’s leading position in Sudan’s mining sector.

The Minister was received by the Governor of the Red Sea State, Lt. Gen. Mustafa Mohamed Nour, members of the state government, Ali Mahmoud, Nazir of the Amarar tribes, traditional leaders, local community representatives, and company employees. The warm reception reflected the strong commitment of both the state government and local communities to supporting the development of Ariab Mining Company and strengthening its contribution to the national economy.

Addressing employees and residents of the area, the Minister emphasized that the next phase will be guided by the slogan “People First.” He stressed that employees are the cornerstone of the company’s success and affirmed that improving the work environment and investing in human resources are among the ministry’s top priorities as part of its strategy to rehabilitate Ariab and enhance production efficiency.

The Minister further announced that Ariab is entering a promising new chapter, with several development and service projects planned in the areas of roads, drinking water, healthcare, and education. These initiatives are expected to improve the living conditions of local communities and promote sustainable development.

He reaffirmed his confidence in Ariab Mining Company’s ability to regain its leadership position with the support of the government and the dedication of its workforce, stressing that the Ministry of Minerals remains committed to implementing its plans to modernize the company, strengthen its role in leading Sudan’s mining sector, and increase its contribution to the national economy.
