Joint Government Team to Inspect Factories and Artisanal Mining Sites

A government meeting chaired by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Welfare, Dr. Abubakar Koko Dahiya, discussed the conditions of workers in factories and artisanal mining sites.
Dr. Dahiya stated that the meeting, which brought together representatives from the Ministries of Human Resources, Interior, Industry and Trade, Minerals, Federal Governance and Rural Development, the General Intelligence Service, and other relevant authorities, reviewed the working conditions in factories and artisanal mining areas, as well as the risks associated with the materials used in these sectors.
Mohamed Al-Abhari, Director General of the General Administration of Occupational Safety and Health at the Ministry, presented the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Welfare’s vision for a joint inspection campaign. The campaign, to be carried out soon by the concerned ministries and competent authorities, aims to strengthen occupational safety measures and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards
