West Darfur Announces 2026 Primary and Intermediate Examination Results with High Pass Rates

The Ministry of Education of West Darfur State has officially announced the results of the 2026 Primary and Intermediate School Examinations during a press conference held on Wednesday at the Ministry’s headquarters in Khartoum under the slogan: “Knowledge elevates even a house without pillars, while ignorance destroys the house of honor and dignity.”
The Ministry revealed that the overall pass rate for the primary level reached 84.6%, with 1,657 pupils sitting for the examinations. The pass rate among boys stood at 84.5%, while girls recorded 84.6%.
The top-performing primary school student was Ahmed Musa Dawoud Abdul Gawi, who scored 257 marks.
For the intermediate level, 1,006 students sat for the examinations. The pass rate reached 99.1% among boys and 98.2% among girls. Afrah Idris Abakar Adam ranked first in the intermediate examinations with 273 marks.
The Director General of the Ministry of Education in West Darfur State, Hafiz Abdulhadi, announced that preparations for the new academic year have been completed in line with current requirements. He described the examination results as the outcome of continuous efforts and close cooperation between schools and families.
He affirmed that the Ministry remains committed to improving the school environment, fulfilling teachers’ entitlements, expanding education and training opportunities, rehabilitating schools, and strengthening the education sector despite the challenges faced during the academic year. He also praised the support provided by the Governor of West Darfur, General Bahr Al-Din Adam Karama, which helped the Ministry overcome numerous difficulties.
Abdulhadi expressed hope for the success of the Sudanese Armed Forces, the Joint Forces, and other military formations in restoring security across West Darfur, enabling the new academic year to begin under more stable conditions.
The announcement ceremony was attended by Directors of Education from the five Darfur states, a representative of the Darfur Regional Authority’s education sector, and several members of the West Darfur State Government.
For his part, West Darfur Governor General Bahr Al-Din Adam Karama described the examination results as another significant achievement for the state, the Ministry of Education, teachers, students, and all those who contributed to the success of the education process during the current challenging period.
He commended the resilience of students, the dedication of teachers, and the support of parents, reaffirming his government’s full commitment to providing all necessary resources to ensure the stability of the education system and recognizing education as the cornerstone of sustainable community development.
