Sudanese Voluntary Returnees Arrives from Uganda as Calls Grow to Strengthen Support for the Voluntary Return Program

The National Higher Committee for Voluntary Return today received a new group of Sudanese citizens returning voluntarily from Uganda as part of the ongoing Voluntary Return Program, which aims to facilitate the safe and dignified return of Sudanese nationals through coordinated efforts involving government institutions, the private sector, and charitable organizations.

The committee commended the General Intelligence Service for sponsoring three full return flights from Uganda. It also expressed appreciation to Badr Airlines, the Ministry of Finance, Sudanese business leaders in Uganda, and all individuals and organizations whose contributions helped make these return flights possible.

The committee also renewed its gratitude to the institutions that supported the voluntary return initiative from Egypt, particularly the Ministry of Finance, Badr Airlines, Tarco Aviation, Sudan Airways, Sudanese business leaders led by businessman Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Mohaqiq, the Defense Industries System, the Zakat Chamber, the General Intelligence Service, and other national institutions that made significant contributions to the success of the program.

The committee emphasized that a safe and dignified voluntary return does not end upon arrival in Sudan. Rather, it marks the beginning of empowering returnees to participate in rebuilding the country and supporting its national recovery efforts.

It further called on business leaders, national institutions, and philanthropists to expand their support for this humanitarian and national initiative, ensuring that every Sudanese wishing to return home has the opportunity to do so with dignity and pride.
