SFPA, Atbara Branch, Conducts VCAT Workshop to Clarify Values ​​and Change Attitudes with Support from IPAS

Sudan Family Planning Association, Atbara Branch, River Nile State, launched a two-day training workshop on Tuesday, July 15, 2026, on the (Values ​​Clarification and Attitude Change Tool for Service Providers (VCAT).

The workshop was supported by the organization (IPAS) and attended by branch staff.

The workshop was honored by the presence of Ms. Kawthar Mohamed Ibrahim, Branch Director, and Dr. Salma, Director of Primary Healthcare and Director of Reproductive Health at the River Nile State Ministry of Health. Active participation from the branch’s health and administrative staff was also noted.

The workshop aims to enhance the capacities of reproductive health service providers through community dialogues that contribute to clarifying values ​​and changing attitudes towards service provision, within the framework of the (Women’s Integrated Sexual Health) program, supported by

(UK International Development).

At the workshop’s opening, Ms. Kawthar emphasized the importance of training in enhancing staff efficiency and improving the quality of services provided to the community, praising the role of partners in supporting the association’s activities.

It is worth noting that the workshop is part of Sudan Family Planning Association’s plan to develop staff performance and promote access to safe and comprehensive health services.
