SAPA Supports National Workshop on Sudan’s Health Sector Recovery Strategy (2026–2030)

Khartoum – The Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA) is participating in the sponsorship and support of the National Workshop on the Endorsement of Sudan’s Health Sector Recovery Strategy (2026–2030), reaffirming its commitment to strengthening Sudan’s healthcare system.

The workshop,  under the theme “Improving Health for Peace, Equity, and Resilience,” is organized by the General Directorate of Planning and Policies at the Federal Ministry of Health. It brings together national and international partners, including the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and SAPA.

The event represents a key milestone in endorsing Sudan’s national health recovery strategy for 2026–2030 and defining the implementation framework that will guide the recovery and rebuilding of the country’s health system over the next five years.

SAPA’s participation reflects its long-standing partnership with the Federal Ministry of Health and other development partners, as well as its commitment to supporting recovery efforts, strengthening the resilience of the health system, and improving access to quality healthcare services across Sudan.

The Association reaffirmed its continued support for national initiatives aimed at advancing the health sector and contributing to the development of a more efficient, resilient, and sustainable healthcare system that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people for a healthier future.
