Repair of the Atbara-Port Sudan Power Line

The Ministry of Energy – Electricity Sector announced the restoration of the power line connecting the cities of Atbara and Port Sudan, following the completion of maintenance and rehabilitation work carried out by the technical staff of the Sudan Electricity Company.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry, the line’s restoration is part of the Ministry of Energy’s plan to stabilize the national grid and enhance electricity supply in the Red Sea and River Nile states. This will contribute to a more stable electricity supply, reduce power outages, support industrial and commercial activities in Port Sudan, and alleviate pressure on the state’s emergency power generation stations.
