National Medical Supplies Fund Participates in World Hepatitis Day Celebration in Atbara

Atbara – The Director of the National Medical Supplies Fund (NMSF) Branch in River Nile State, representing the Fund’s Director General, participated in the World Hepatitis Day celebration organized by the National Center for Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at the Federal Ministry of Health in Atbara under the theme: “Hepatitis: Let’s Work Together to Break Down Barriers.”

The Fund’s participation reflects its pivotal role in supporting the health system and ensuring the continuous supply of medicines and medical consumables for viral hepatitis control programs. This contributes to the uninterrupted availability of essential supplies in health facilities and strengthens prevention, early detection, and treatment services.

The event featured scientific presentations and awareness sessions highlighting the latest developments in combating viral hepatitis. Participants also reviewed progress in implementing the national strategy and discussed ways to strengthen partnerships and expand prevention, screening, and treatment services in line with the global goal of eliminating viral hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030.

The participation underscored the importance of coordinated efforts among health institutions, emphasizing that achieving the objectives of the national strategy depends not only on providing treatment services but also on ensuring a stable and reliable supply of medicines, which remains a fundamental pillar for sustaining prevention, diagnosis, and treatment services.
