Health Minister Meets with Organizations to Work on Joint Health Projects

The Federal Minister of Health, Prof. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, met today at his office with representatives from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA).
The meeting aimed to strengthen joint efforts in implementing health projects and to develop a shared vision for donors, particularly projects supported by the World Bank, ensuring the submission of an integrated package aligned with national health priorities. The discussions also focused on understanding the vision of the Federal Ministry of Health for the upcoming phase.
During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the current health situation and the progress of medical service delivery, emphasizing the need to direct efforts toward the recovery and rehabilitation of the health system.
The meeting also highlighted UNFPA’s efforts in maternal and child health, IOM’s role in providing primary healthcare services to migrants, displaced persons, and returnees, as well as SAPA’s contributions to rehabilitating health facilities and hospitals and providing essential healthcare services.
The meeting underscored the importance of strengthening coordination between the Ministry of Health, international organizations, and partners to ensure the sustainability of health services and enhance Sudan’s capacity to address current challenges
