The Minister of Culture, Information, Antiquities, and Tourism, Khalid Al-Eisir, issued a statement today regarding the horrific violations committed by the Rapid Support Forces militia in Greater Bara Locality, North Kordofan State. In the statement, he condemned the systematic bloodshed, massacres, and horrific killings perpetrated by the Rapid Support Forces militia in Greater Bara Locality, North Kordofan State. These acts targeted innocent civilians, terrorized the peaceful population, and resulted in painful losses of life and property, most recently in the villages of the Al-Murra area, west of Bara city.

Statement on the Horrific Violations Committed by the Rapid Support Forces Militia in Greater Bara Locality, North Kordofan State

We condemn in the strongest terms the systematic bloodshed, massacres, and horrific killings perpetrated by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in the Greater Bara area of ​​North Kordofan State. These acts have targeted innocent civilians, terrorized the peaceful, and resulted in painful losses of life and property, most recently in the villages of the Al-Murra region, west of Bara city.

We extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the martyrs and to all citizens in Hilla Hamid, Shaq Al-Noum village, Bara city, Umm Kridim village, the villages of the Al-Murra region, and other areas where the militia has violated all sanctities. We pray that God Almighty grants the martyrs His abundant mercy and bestows a speedy recovery upon the wounded.

We also extend our heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to the families of the martyrs in the Greater Bara area and to all victims of violations against civilians throughout Sudan in recent times. We also commend the sacrifices and remarkable efforts made by citizens in confronting the mercenary militia and defending their families and regions. We emphasize that the Sudanese state and its proud people stand firmly alongside the armed forces in the battle for dignity and the defense of the homeland, demonstrating a unified national position in the face of threats targeting the country’s security and stability.

We further affirm that the state stands with all its citizens and continues its tireless efforts to protect civilians, restore security and stability, defeat the militia, and end the threat it poses to citizens and the nation’s resources.

We reiterate our call to the international community, the United Nations, and relevant regional and international human rights organizations to condemn these grave violations, hold the perpetrators accountable, and take all necessary measures against this terrorist rebel militia, designating it as a terrorist organization for its actions that contravene the principles of international humanitarian law and established human values. May God have mercy on the martyrs, grant a speedy recovery to the wounded, and protect Sudan and its people from all harm.
