As part of its efforts to support vulnerable groups and check on families caring for children without parental support, the Khartoum State Ministry of Social Development distributed Eid sacrifice meat to foster mothers caring for orphaned and unsupported children on the second day of Eid Al-Adha.

This humanitarian project comes on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and is implemented through cooperation and a smart partnership with the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), with the aim of bringing joy to these families during the Eid and in appreciation of the great and genuine role played by foster mothers in caring for, raising, and integrating unsupported children into society.

Amani Awouda, Director General of the General Administration of Social Welfare, praised the continued support provided by the Turkish IHH organization, affirming that the ministry is making every effort through its various partnerships to ease the living burden on foster families and ensure that assistance reaches those who deserve it during the blessed days of Tashreeq.
