Khartoum Governor Inspects National Cooperative Corporation’s Discounted Eid Sacrifice Sheep Market

Khartoum State Governor, Mr. Ahmed Othman Hamza, inspected the sacrificial livestock sales site at the Jamska Complex in Al-Hara 21, Karari locality, where discounted markets are being organized by the National Cooperative Corporation. The visit was attended by the Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Resources, and Irrigation, Dr. Sar Al-Khatim Fadl Al-Mawla.
Prices of the sacrificial sheep range between 750,000 and one million Sudanese pounds. The initiative also includes a livestock inspection and examination program conducted by the General Administration of Animal Health and Epidemic Control at the Ministry of Agriculture to ensure the inspection and vaccination of the sacrificial animals.
The Governor praised the National Cooperative Corporation for its multiple contributions during the previous period, including support for community kitchens, shelter centers, gas supply, and other services aimed at easing the burden on citizens. He also urged banks to facilitate money transfer procedures for citizens’ transactions to help complete operations smoothly.
During the visit, the Governor reviewed the livestock on display, their prices, and the level of citizens’ satisfaction with the pricing.
