Closing of TOT Training Workshop in Family Counseling in Khartoum State

The Director General of the Ministry of Social Development in Khartoum State and Acting Minister, Siddig Hassan Farini, emphasized the important role of social and psychological researchers in addressing current social challenges. He stressed that capacity building for workers in this field is essential for promoting community stability and dealing with the social and psychological impacts of crises.
This came during the closing ceremony of a Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop in family counseling, which targeted social and psychological researchers across the state’s localities, with the participation of 20 trainees, in the presence of department directors from the ministry.
The workshop coordinator, Khadija Fath Alrahman, praised the minister’s efforts in improving the work environment and continuously supporting staff development.
Participants highlighted the importance of the training in enhancing their professional skills and improving service delivery at the community level.
The workshop covered key topics including life skills for social workers, problem-solving techniques, and analysis of family breakdown causes, as part of efforts to strengthen social services and address community issues.
