NSWF concludes second mandatory training course for its strategic team

National Students Welfare Fund, Khartoum State Secretariat, in cooperation with the State’s Higher Council for Strategy and Information, concluded the second mandatory training course for its strategic team at the Council’s headquarters. The closing ceremony was attended by a distinguished group of dignitaries, including Mr. Al-Tayeb Saad Al-Din, Director General of the Ministry of Culture and Information, representing the Governor of Khartoum State; Major General Tariq Abdullah, former Director of the General Directorate of University Police; and Brigadier General Hashim Al-Mubarak, representing the Director of the General Directorate of University Security Police.

The course, designed to train department directors and staff of the National Students Welfare Fund in Khartoum State, included specialized lectures on strategic planning, policies, and objectives. It also covered emergency response, addressing service gaps, achieving equitable development within the state, and monitoring the implementation of priorities and measuring impact. The course also addressed the concepts of the state’s strategic framework, the reasons for failure in implementing plans, and the importance of setting SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) objectives based on a clear vision. It focused on mechanisms for finding solutions and providing feedback, as well as the key elements for the successful implementation of institutional strategies.

For his part, Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed Hussein, the state treasurer, confirmed that the course witnessed significant interaction from the working groups and achieved its desired objectives. He also emphasized the importance of continuing partnerships and cooperation with the Supreme Council for Strategy and Information in the areas of training and institutional development.

In the same vein, Dr. Hafez Al-Omari delivered a specialized lecture on the concept of the Balanced Scorecard and its role in measuring strategic performance and improving the efficiency of institutions.

For his part, Mr. Abdul-Raziq Ahmed Mohamed, speaking on behalf of the trainees, expressed his gratitude to the Supreme Council for Strategy and Information for organizing the course. He praised the competence and accumulated experience of those responsible for it, affirming that the participants greatly benefited from its scientific and practical content.

At the conclusion of the program, Dr. Abul-Qasim Al-Sanousi, Director of the General Administration for Strategy and Information, explained that the certificate awarded by the Khartoum Institute is an accredited certificate for completing the mandatory training course and qualifies participants to practice strategic work.

Mr. Al-Tayeb Saad Al-Din, representing the Governor of Khartoum State, Mr. Ahmed Othman Hamza, also spoke, emphasizing that the National Students Welfare Fund has contributed positively and tangibly to the return of students to Khartoum State, reflecting the improved security situation in the state. He conveyed the Governor’s greetings and congratulations to the participants on receiving their certificates, noting that the training represents a genuine step towards overcoming challenges and that strategic planning is fundamental to organizing institutions and projects and consolidating institutional work, especially during the reconstruction and recovery phase.

At the end of the ceremony, Major General Tariq Abdullah, the former Director of University Security Police, and Dr. Essam Batran, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Strategy and Information, were honored, along with Mr. Ahmed Othman Hamza, the Governor of Khartoum State.
