US Condemns RSF Attack on Al-Jabalain Hospital

The United States has strongly condemned what it described as a “brutal attack” on a civilian hospital in the Al-Jabalain area of White Nile State last week.
Masad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the US President for Arab and African Affairs, tweeted on his X platform account that “the United States strongly condemns the recent brutal attack by the Rapid Support Forces on Al-Jabalain Hospital in White Nile State,” which resulted in the deaths of at least ten people, including seven medical personnel, and forced the evacuation of patients under dangerous conditions.
Boulos emphasized that targeting healthcare facilities is a blatant violation of international law and an affront to the most basic principles of humanity. He added that these attacks are escalating and must stop.
He added that his country reiterates the need for an immediate cessation of violence by both sides against civilians and vital infrastructure, and for an agreement on a humanitarian truce now, as there is no room for further delay while the suffering of the Sudanese people continues.
