GIS Supports Khartoum State in Expediting the Transfer of Remains

The General Intelligence Service announced an initiative to support Khartoum State in expediting the transfer of remains from various locations for burial in official cemeteries, under the auspices of Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal

The announcement came during an expanded meeting held by Khartoum Governor, Ahmed Othman Hamza, with the committee tasked with the remains transfer file. Security leaders and the Director of Forensic Medicine were also present. The meeting reviewed the work completed during the past period and the necessary requirements to ensure the continuity of this important humanitarian and environmental matter.

The Governor affirmed that the initiative launched by the General Intelligence Service represents a strong impetus to accelerate the committee’s work and achieve tangible progress through coordinated efforts to overcome field and technical obstacles.

He noted that these efforts are part of a comprehensive plan to create a suitable environment for citizens to return to their homes, stressing the need for all parties to cooperate in completing the technical and legal procedures for the transfer of remains with dignity and professionalism, thus achieving social stability and serving the state’s goals of fully restoring normalcy.
