Joint meeting between IUA and AcoGaps

A joint meeting was held at the headquarters of the African Center for Governance, Peace and Transition Studies (AcoGaps) in Khartoum between the International University of Africa (IUA) and the center. The meeting was chaired by the university’s Vice-Chancellor for Scientific and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Osman Abdullah, and Dr. Mahmoud Zein El Abdine, Director General of AcoGaps. The purpose of the meeting was to establish a strategic partnership between the university and the center.

Dr. Mahmoud Zein El Abdeen, Director of the Center, explained that the partnership aims to expand cooperation in scientific research, organize joint events, build capacity, and support initiatives that contribute to strengthening good governance and peace in Africa.

He indicated that the meeting discussed a proposal from the University’s Center for African Research and Studies to organize a scientific symposium on public diplomacy, in cooperation with AcoGaps and the World People’s Friendship Council. He explained that it was agreed to hold the symposium during the second week of May 2026, within the framework of strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between the two sides and exchanging expertise in the fields of governance, peace, and public diplomacy.

Participating in the meeting from the University were Dr. Muzammil Al-Rayis from the Office of Academic Affairs and Professor Adam Al-Nour Abdel Rahman from the Center for African Research and Studies.
