Governor of Gedaref State Receives Head of the Sudanese Red Crescent Central Steering Committee

The Governor of Gedaref State, Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, received at the Guest House Dr. Abdelrahman Bilal Al-Eid, Head of the Central Steering Committee of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, along with his accompanying delegation. The visit comes within the framework of ongoing preparations to celebrate the World Day of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
During the meeting, Dr. Abdelrahman reviewed the celebration program scheduled for May 8, which includes a number of humanitarian and awareness-raising activities, in addition to honoring the families of the Society’s fallen members in recognition of their contributions and sacrifices in serving communities. He praised the support and cooperation of the state government in ensuring the success of the program.
For his part, the Governor of Gedaref expressed his welcome to the Head of the Committee and the accompanying delegation, affirming the state’s readiness to provide all necessary facilities to ensure the success of the event. He commended the significant role played by the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies in delivering humanitarian services, especially in light of the current challenges. He also welcomed all participating delegations in this occasion, wishing that it achieves its intended goals in serving the community and strengthening humanitarian work.
