Editorial: Between Victory Day and High Treason Day

On April 13, 2026, the country witnessed a major event: the launch of the Sudanese Certificate examinations across the nation. This followed a significant challenge and a noticeable improvement in security. These were perhaps the first post-war examinations of such scale and with a large number of candidates. We pray for their success.

Another event, though less significant for the Sudanese people, was the convening of what was perceived as a major betrayal of the Sudanese state and a grand conspiracy against the Sudanese people: the Berlin Conference, held on April 15, 2026. This was a trap set for the Sudanese state.
What is astonishing is the suspicious silence regarding this conspiracy.

Berlin Conference cannot be understood in isolation from its historical and political context, nor from the accumulation of events that preceded it.
Among a range of interpretations, one constant remains: the strength of nations at such moments is measured by their ability to build a united domestic front that balances the variables, formulates a clear vision that accurately interprets reality, manages changes, and accepts challenges with balanced tools that combine political discourse and military action.

What is being plotted in Berlin is the worst conspiracy and the greatest betrayal ever perpetrated against the people, the state, and the army.

We must all unite our internal and external fronts to defeat this despicable conspiracy with genuine national will and complete consensus.
