PM Assured of Sudan’s Airports’ Readiness to Receive Domestic, Regional, and International Flights

Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris affirmed the government’s commitment to overcoming all obstacles hindering the operation of the country’s airports. He pledged to provide full support to the Sudan Airports Company to enable it to fulfill its role in developing the country’s airports to meet global standards of airport quality and modernization.

This came during his meeting today at Port Sudan Airport with the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, Abubakr Al-Siddiq Mohammed Abdullah, and the Director General of the Sudan Airports Company, Engineer Sir Al-Khatim Babiker.

Professor Kamil Idris emphasized the government’s commitment to dedicating all its efforts to developing airport operations and facilitating the movement of citizens, particularly regarding voluntary repatriation.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister received a comprehensive briefing on the readiness of Khartoum International Airport and other state airports, confirming the completion of all operational arrangements for receiving domestic, regional, and international flights. He also reviewed the working conditions of employees at the country’s various airports. The Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the completion of all arrangements for opening the airspace for both domestic and international flights.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Sudan Airports Company confirmed Khartoum International Airport’s readiness to receive regional and international flights.
