Minister of Health Meets Chief of the National Council for Medical Specialties

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, met today with the Chief of the National Council for Medical Specialties, Professor Al-Rasheed Ahmed Abdullah, in the presence of a number of professors and leaders of the Council, the Director of Human Resources, and the Director of Policies at the Ministry of Health.

The Minister explained the recent Decision 170 issued by the Council of Ministers, which restored the supervision of the Council of Specializations to the Minister of Health. He clarified that this does not affect the administrative, financial, or technical independence of the Council; rather, the supervision of the Minister of Health will enable the Council to develop and open partnerships and funding opportunities.

The meeting also valued the role of the Council in preserving the continuity of the training process and stressed the necessity and importance of coordination between the various state institutions concerned with human health resources.
