SFPA Participates in the First National Conference Addressing Youth Issues in Atbara
Sudan Family Planning Association (SFPA) both at the national level and in the River Nile State branch, participated in the activities of the First National Conference Addressing Youth Issues.
The conference was organized by the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the River Nile State Ministry of Youth and Sports, and took place from January 31st to February 3rd.
Ms. Kawthar Mohamed Ibrahim, Executive Director of the Association in River Nile State, praised the active participation of the Association’s youth in the conference, acknowledging the support of the Association’s leadership, headed by Executive Director Mr. Al-Shafi’i Mohamed Ali.
She noted that the Association’s youth are exemplary and have made significant contributions to the success of the Association’s health and social programs, in coordination with specialized departments and committees at the national and state levels.
Ms. Kawthar revealed that the Association participated in the National Youth Conference by organizing an exhibition and a mobile clinic, in addition to the participation of its youth in various other activities, particularly in logistical arrangements and discussions. Kawthar emphasized that the association’s strategy places increasing emphasis on youth, considering them both the present and the future. She explained that SFPA, through its Federal Youth Office, participated in discussions on digital transformation in Sudan, where they met with Engineer Khalid Abu Ali, representing the Sudanese Minister of Digital Transformation.
During the sessions, the association’s youth e-platform was presented as part of the participating youth projects.
Dr. Salma Muawiya, head of the association’s Federal Youth Office, reviewed the platform’s objectives and its role in empowering youth, enhancing their participation in the digital transformation process, and creating interactive spaces for discussion and capacity building.
The Executive Director of SFPA – River Nile State branch – revealed that the presentation of the Association’s youth platform garnered significant interest and positive feedback, reflecting the importance of digital youth initiatives and their role in supporting the future of digital transformation in Sudan. Ms. Kawthar expressed her gratitude and appreciation to all the young people and association members who participated in the conference through the clinic, the exhibition, the committees, and other activities.
