Omdurman National Bank Supports Higher Education Institutions with 1,100 Teaching Boards

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Mudawi Moussa, stressed that supporting universities and colleges is a national priority in the reconstruction phase, praising the initiative of the National Bank of Omdurman to provide teaching equipment to universities within the framework of its social responsibility. He emphasized that this step directly contributes to the creation of an educational environment and the restoration of academic stability after the destruction of institutions due to the rebellion of the Rapid Support Militia.

This came when he addressed the inauguration ceremony of the contribution of the National Bank of Omdurman to supporting universities with teaching aids today at the Hall of Prof. Dafallah Al-Turabi at the University of Khartoum, under the slogan “With Science We Build the Future of Our Beloved Sudan.”In the presence of Major General Mohammed Al-Fateh, Advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Omdurman, Prof. Abdel Moneim Mohamed Al-Tayeb, Director of the Bank, Ali Al-Sheikh Al-Samani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, a large number of university directors, a representative of the General Intelligence Service, and a representative of the Director of the University Security Police, as well as a number of academic and executive leaders, Prof. Mudawi explained that higher education institutions had been subjected to systematic destruction of their infrastructure, including laboratories, libraries, classrooms, and administrative offices. He pointed out that the Damage Assessment Committee estimated the size of the losses at more than one billion dollars.

For his part, Prof. Abdel Moneim Mohamed El-Tayeb, General Manager of Omdurman National Bank, expressed his pride in the bank’s contribution to supporting higher education institutions. He stressed that this initiative stems from the bank’s national role and its firm commitment to social responsibility, and he emphasized that the bank will continue to support reconstruction projects and enhance institutional stability in the country.
