Federal Minister of Health discusses with the Medical Commission Administration the performance and future visions

The Federal Minister of Health, Prof. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, discussed with the delegation of the Medical Commission, headed by Dr. Adel Suleiman, the performance for the year 2025, the current situation, as well as the future vision and special needs.

The Minister stated that medical protocols with other countries need more follow-up and coordination in this regard with the General Directorate of International Health. He directed the unification of the platform for treatment abroad and treatment directly supported by the State, and to activate the collaboration between the two entities responsible for implementation, which contributes to increasing their effectiveness and facilitating treatment.

The Minister praised the steadfastness of the Commissioners and their continuous work in Khartoum State during the war, directing the preparation of a detailed report on the budget and development projects and others, pointing to an integrated proposal for the new building of the Commissioners.

The Director of the Commission, Dr. Adel Suleiman, revealed that the Commission is the only institution that started its work without stopping and did not leave Khartoum. He opened several outlets to serve the public, noting that 12 Commissioners continue their work out of 18 Commissions. He pointed out that nearly 30,000 citizens received services during the past year, adding that neurosurgery is the most requested treatment to receive abroad. He noted that the Council of Ministers has been addressed to form medical attachés in both Turkey and India to facilitate procedures.

The meeting developed a number of solutions to the obstacles facing the work of the commissioners.
