The Minister of Education meets with the delegation of the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation

The Minister of Education and National Education, Dr. Al-Tuhamy Al-Zein Hajar, met today in his office in Omdurman with a delegation from the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, which included Emra, the representative of the Foundation for North and East Africa, and Mr. Bilal Bahci, the representative for North Africa. The meeting discussed coordination between the ministry and the organization to provide the necessary support to educational institutions affected by the war.

The minister explained to the delegation that education in Sudan has been greatly affected by the war launched by the rebel Rapid Support Militia, noting that the ministry’s priorities in Khartoum State and the states affected by the war are to maintain schools, restore services in them, and fill the shortage of materials and textbooks.

The minister affirmed their desire to partner and cooperate with the organization and tightencoordination to facilitate the administrative and technical aspects, again thanking the leadership and people of Turkey for their continuous support to the Sudanese people in all fields.

The delegation affirmed its support for education in Sudan, which has been affected by the war. It pointed out that the organization’s plan is to rehabilitate the damaged schools, stressing the need to tighten coordination with the ministry and to work according to the requirements and priorities it sets. Additionally, it aims to consolidate the relationship to become a bridge between Sudan and Turkey.
