Head of the Sovereignty Council Approves Sudan Medical City Project in Khartoum

During a field visit to Sudan Medical City in Khartoum, Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris announced the approval of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Head of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Abdel Rahman Al-Burhan, for the establishment of Sudan Medical City. He emphasized that this strategic project has contributed to strengthening the resilience of the General Command.
For his part, Federal Minister of Health Professor Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim explained that the Sudan Medical City project represents a major step towards eliminating the need for overseas medical treatment and localizing specialized medical services within the country, in addition to contributing to the development of medical tourism. The Minister also thanked Head of the Sovereignty Council and the Prime Minister for their support and approval of this vital project, and commended the role of health leaders and experts who worked on the scientific studies, feasibility studies, and planning for this medical city.
