The Minister of Education meets with the delegation of Abyei

The Federal Minister of Education , Dr. Al-Tohamy Al-Zein Hajar, discussed with the Abyei Coordination delegation the educational issues of the region’s Dinka Abyei students and listened to the challenges and difficulties they face in continuing their education and the possibility of enabling them to sit for the secondary certificate exams.

The Minister welcomed the delegation’s visit, stressing the Ministry’s keenness to address the issues of students in all states of Sudan, and promised to look into the issue of students, understand the challenges they face, and work hard to address them in coordination with the relevant authorities.

He directed the formation of a committee with the participation of a member of the Coordination to make the necessary statistics for the number of students, their places of presence, and the necessary arrangements to enable them to take the exam.

The delegation of the Coordination expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Minister for providing them with the opportunity to meet and listen to them. Dr. John Zakaria Etim, President of the Coordination of the students and their parents from the Abyei Dinka, stated that the Minister promised to solve their case, stressing his support for them so that they can continue their education.
