Prime Minister Inaugurates Luli Food Factory

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris inaugurated the “Luli Food Factory” in Khartoum, on Tuesday. He was accompanied by a high-level delegation including the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ms. Mahasin Yaqoub, and the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Ali Mohamed Ali. During his tour, the Prime Minister emphasized that the opening of this industrial complex is the strongest evidence of the return of production and development to Khartoum State, despite the challenges. He praised the modern technologies and production lines employed by the factory and reiterated his call to all factory owners and investors to resume their operations in Khartoum and contribute to the reconstruction phase.

Food Localization and Overcoming Production Obstacles

For her part, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Professor Mahasin Yaqoub, explained that the inauguration of the Luli factory is a qualitative addition that supports the state’s strategy to localize food production. She emphasized the “Government of Hope’s” commitment to overcoming all administrative and logistical obstacles facing the industrial sector, in order to enable factories to raise their production efficiency to meet the needs of the local market and move towards exporting to global markets. She stressed that the ministry is working according to an integrated plan to restore the industrial sector to its leading role in supporting the national economy and providing job opportunities.
