Adopting the name of the Secondary Certificate Exams 2026 instead of the postponed 2025

Atbara / The Citizen

The Technical Committee for Secondary Certificate Examinations has adopted the name of the Secondary Certificate Exams April 2026 instead of the postponed Secondary Certificate Exams 2025 in order to accommodate qualified students in 2026 who studied in other countries and obtained the intermediate certificate in 2023. The committee directed, in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, regarding their admission to universities.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and National Education, Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Omar, who chaired the meeting of the committee, explained that the meeting allowed refugee students in eastern Chad to sit for an alternative exam.

This was attributed to the fact that the conditions preventing them from sitting for a unified exam with their colleagues inside and outside Sudan in the previous year are still in place.

He pointed out that the meeting directed the General Directorate of Measurement, Evaluation, and Examinations to carry out all the necessary technical procedures to hold alternative exams for students in Eastern Chad, the date of which will be determined later after coordination with the relevant authorities and after the availability of statistics, provided that the registration of any student is linked to the qualification that allows them to sit for the exams
