Minister of Energy Receives Invitation to Participate in Indian Energy Week

The Minister of Energy, Engineer Al-Mutasim Ibrahim Ahmed, received the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Sudan at his office in Port Sudan today (Tuesday).
The meeting reviewed opportunities for Sudan’s participation in Indian Energy Week and the importance of participating in this significant international event. Participation would enhance Sudan’s presence on the global energy map, open new horizons for investment in the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors, facilitate the transfer of modern technologies, and build strategic partnerships with international companies and institutions.
Both sides emphasized the importance of leveraging this event to support Sudanese-Indian cooperation in the energy sector, serving energy security and economic development in Sudan.
Indian Energy Week 2026 will be held from January 27 to 30, 2026, in Goa, India. It is the largest international energy platform, bringing together energy ministers, global business leaders, investors, and innovators from more than 120 countries to discuss the future of energy, energy security, and the transition to clean and sustainable energy. The event will see the participation of more than 75,000 specialists and nearly 700 exhibiting companies from various energy sectors, making it a pivotal platform for building international alliances and supporting the transition to more secure and sustainable energy systems.
