Investment Forum in River Nile State at the End of This Month

The National Investment in Authority announced the convening of the “Made in River Nile State” forum at the end of January.
The Secretary-General of the National Investment Authority, Ahlam Madani Mahdi, stated that the forum represents a strategic step to support the national economy and a genuine launchpad for promoting the slogan of “self-reliance.”
In a statement carried by the Sudan News Agency today (Friday), the Secretary-General explained that the forum’s importance lies in several key areas, including localizing industry, transforming the state from a producer of raw materials into a developed industrial center, and maximizing returns from local products such as cement, marble, and agricultural crops.
She emphasized that the forum serves as a platform to showcase available opportunities to businesspeople, highlight the preferential advantages and facilities offered by the state under the current circumstances, create job opportunities for young people, and reduce the import bill by providing high-quality local alternatives.
She emphasized the National Investment Authority’s commitment to implementing the Investment Law, which grants both domestic and foreign investors extensive advantages, while ensuring streamlined procedures through the “One-Stop Shop” system to provide a secure and attractive environment.
She noted that the Authority seeks to attract more foreign capital to utilize Sudan’s vast resources, considering the forum an opportunity for the exchange of ideas among national investors and fostering a spirit of healthy competition.
She pointed out that the diverse resources make River Nile State the “investment heart of Sudan,” particularly in the cement and construction sectors, given its vast reserves of limestone and marble. This places the state at the forefront nationally, alongside mining and manufacturing industries, thanks to the extensive opportunities available for gold and other mineral extraction.
