United Nations: Shocking Conditions in El Fasher

The UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Sudan, Denise Brown, said that residents of El Fasher in North Darfur are experiencing severe trauma.

Following her field visit to the city, Brown explained in an interview with AFP that residents are facing degrading and unsafe conditions. Some are living in abandoned buildings, while others are in makeshift shelters with plastic sheeting and without water or sanitation, two months after the Rapid Support Forces took control of El Fasher.
