PM Meets with UN High Commissioner for Refugees and UNICEF Executive Director

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris met today with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi and UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell.

The meeting addressed the evolving situation in the country in light of the systematic violations and atrocities perpetrated by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia against innocent civilians, particularly women and children.

The meeting also discussed the activities and programs undertaken by these organizations in the areas of humanitarian aid, health, education, and assistance to internally displaced persons and refugees affected by the war, as well as ways to enhance these organizations’ efforts in this regard.
