Minnawi: We are not warmongers

Darfur Governor, Minni Arko Minnawi, stated, “We are not warmongers, but we reject humiliation, and defending the homeland is not a choice but a duty. We do not seek bloodshed, but we protect the land, honor, and history.” He added on his Facebook page, “When the homeland is violated, silence becomes treason, and standing up in self-defense becomes an honorable stance that cannot be compromised. This homeland has taught us that dignity is not given and that freedom is seized by the will of the free. We will stand, not out of a love for fighting, but out of a belief that whoever does not defend themselves loses their right to tomorrow.”
