Militia Attacks Ugandan Force on the Border

The Rapid Support Forces militia attacked a Ugandan patrol in the Kajo-Keji border region between Uganda and South Sudan.
Military sources said that Rapid Support Forces elements stationed at one of their camps attacked the Ugandan patrol to seize weapons and military vehicles, resulting in a brief clash that ended with the militia members withdrawing.
Military officials from South Sudan demanded the withdrawal of the militia from the area to prevent their continued provocations from igniting a war with Uganda. They called on all parties to exercise restraint and for an investigation into the incident.
