Khartoum Governor directs the Roads and Bridges Authority to expedite road rehabilitation according to priorities

During his visit to the field teams of the Roads, Bridges, and Water Drainage Authority in Khartoum State, Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza directed them to expedite road maintenance and rehabilitation according to priority, with particular attention to the most densely populated areas. In the same vein, field teams from the Roads, Bridges, and Water Drainage Authority in Khartoum State conducted an extensive field tour of the state, encompassing numerous work sites. The purpose of the tour was to directly assess the tasks and work being carried out according to the direct work program for infrastructure projects, and to evaluate the conditions and needs on the ground. The field team, headed by Engineer Al-Tijani Yaqoub, Director General of Projects, inspected the ongoing rehabilitation work on Nile Street in Omdurman, from the section north of the television buildings to the Riviera area, as well as the removal of collapsed layers on Al-Ghaba Street. They also reviewed the work on the median strip of Al-Qasr Street and the widening of Green Yard Street in Khartoum locality. Additionally, they inspected the continued paving of the southern lane of Al-Baraha Street, following the completion of the rehabilitation work on the northern lane in Khartoum North locality. The field team also toured the ongoing work to remove the collapsed sections of Al-Halfaya Bridge. Engineer Al-Tijani stated that all teams and staff of the Roads, Bridges, and Water Drainage Authority in Khartoum State are working to the best of their ability to restore and create a suitable environment for the return of citizens to Khartoum State.
