Turkish Company Intends to Build New Airport in Khartoum

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris met at Istanbul Airport on his way back to the country with Mr. Enver Sayan, CEO of the Turkish company Summa, which specializes in airport construction.

According to the Sudan News Agency, the meeting was attended by Mr. Nizar Abdullah, Director of the Prime Minister’s Office; Ambassador Badr Al-Din Al-Jaafari; Ambassador Nader Youssef, Sudan’s Ambassador to Turkey; and Ambassador Osama Mahjoub, Consul General in Istanbul. Representing Summa were the Chief Operating Officer and the Head of Business Development. The meeting addressed the project to build a new airport in the capital, Khartoum, according to the latest international standards. The company, with its extensive and distinguished global experience in this field, expressed its readiness to participate in the project and promised to send a technical team to Sudan to gather the necessary information for a comprehensive feasibility study.
