Within the framework of the intensive efforts led by the Governor of West Darfur State, General Bahreddine Adam Karama, to rebuild the post-war state, strengthen the resilience of rural communities, and improve their economic and social conditions by supporting agriculture, expanding job opportunities, and developing infrastructure and basic services, the Governor met today with the Minister of Government and Rural Development, Eng. Mohamed Kartkila, and the Minister of Social Development, Mutassim Ahmed Saleh, in a meeting dedicated to discussing the exceptional conditions that the state is going through under the control of the rebel forces and their successors, which have led to security, service, and humanitarian ruin.

The meeting discussed the map of urgent interventions to address urgent humanitarian and social issues and the development of an integrated response plan for the return of government institutions and service facilities to work immediately after the restoration of control of the state, stressing that protecting citizens and rebuilding what was destroyed by the militias is a national duty that cannot be postponed.

The two ministers affirmed their full and unwavering support for the legitimate government in West Darfur State, and their strong support for the national efforts to restore security, extend the prestige of the state, and end the chaos of the rebel militias, stressing that the current stage requires national unity and high coordination between the center and the states to restore stability and prioritize services and humanitarian services.

The governor of West Darfur stressed that his government is working in very complex circumstances, but the will of the state and its people is stronger than all challenges, pointing out that extending the prestige of the state, restoring services, and reviving civilian life is a top priority.

Karama explained that comprehensive coordination between the federal government and the state will be the main pillar for the restoration of the state, renewing his confidence in the armed forces, the joint force, the popular resistance and those mobilized to liberate West Darfur soon and rebuild what was destroyed by chaos and rebellion.
