Restarting new health centers to enhance primary health care services in Khartoum State

The General Directorate of Primary Health Care at the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State announced the start of operations for a number of reference health centers in the state after completing the necessary technical and administrative arrangements, as part of its efforts to enhance primary health care services and facilitate citizens’ access to basic treatment services. The operation included :
– Al sahafa shareq
– Shaheed Al – Zubayr Marja’i Health Center
– Martyr Atta Al-Manan Health Center, Jabra Square 3
– Sajana Health Center
– Al-Zaytouna Health Center, Ambdeh Al-Hara 19
The Director of the Family Health Institutions Department, Dr. Reem Abdel Moneim, confirmed that this step comes within the Ministry’s plan to expand the umbrella of health services and ensure the provision of primary care near residential communities, in addition to supporting the capabilities of the centers to provide integrated treatment and diagnostic services through qualified medical cadres and appropriate equipment.
Dr. Reem also called on the citizens of Khartoum to benefit from the services provided by these centers, noting that their operation contributes to reducing the pressure on major hospitals and improving the health response at the local level.
