Federal Chamber for the Vaccination Campaign against Diphtheria: Vaccinating 1,564,530 People within 4 Days

The Federal Chamber of the Diphtheria Vaccination Campaign announced that the vaccination has been cumulative until the fourth day, yesterday, Tuesday, in the six targeted states, with a total of 1,564,530 people vaccinated out of a target of 2,081,275 people. The campaign will conclude tomorrow, Thursday.
The Chamber reviewed the progress of the campaign, which includes the plans of the supervisors throughout its duration, their observations on the teams and home visits, health promotion activities in its various aspects, as well as the observations of the state chambers regarding supply, monitoring cases, side effects, and coverage.
The Chamber renewed its appeal to families to vaccinate the specific groups, adding that “tomorrow, Thursday, is the last day of the campaign,” stressing that the vaccine is safe, effective, and free.
It is worth mentioning that the campaign was launched on Saturday, November 22, in the states of the Nile River (the second round with all its localities), Kassala (the localities of Kassala, Khasham al-Garba, Nahr Atbara and New Halfa), the northern (the localities of Dongola, Meroe and Dabba), Khartoum (Karri), the Blue Nile (Damazin) and the Red Sea (Haya).
