The National Malaria Control Program concludes the refresher course for laboratory diagnostics in Kassala

Kassala witnessed the conclusion of the refresher course for laboratory diagnosis of malaria, which was organized by the National Malaria Control Program at the Federal Health Federation and Kassala, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program, over five days.
The Director General of the Ministry of Health in Kassala State, Shaa Al-Din Al-Hussein, sent a message of reassurance that there are capable cadres in the state who are able to properly diagnose malaria, especially after the refresher course, which refined their experiences and knowledge, calling on the students to train their other teachers.
The Director of the General Directorate of Basic Health Care at the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Musab Siddique, stressed the importance of laboratory diagnosis not only for malaria but also for all diseases through quality, calling for the implementation of what they have learned on the ground.
The Director of the National Malaria Control Program, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Qader, considered the students a real addition to the program, by raising the quality of diagnosis in the state of Kassala after the training.
The Director of the Diagnostic Department at the National Malaria Control Program, Mr. Sayed Mustafa, said that the training, which lasted for five days, was discussed in everything related to malaria, “we were left stray and uninsured”, starting from the reception of the patient, pointing out that the result of the learners’ exam reached 90% and added the real exam after the training, especially since malaria is still the first health problem in the country, so the laboratory is the main pillar for building the right decision in treatment.
The Director of the Malaria Program at Kassala Health, Ms. Munira Bashir, confirmed that the commitment of the 25 learners contributed to achieving the objectives of the training, which are to build capacities to improve diagnosis.
Meanwhile, the representative of the learners, Mohamed Al-Amin Abkar, thanked those in charge of training and who contributed to obtaining the skills, recommending to continue to keep up.
